AEROSMITH: Autographed Vehicle Fails To Generate Auction Heat
September 6, 2005According to Fort Wayne, Indiana's The Journal Gazette, the organizers of the 35th annual Auburn Fall auction event tried to sell a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie autographed by members of the band AEROSMITH on Monday, but couldn't get a bid higher than $19,000, which the owner had set as a minimum.
The auction took place at Kruse International Auction Park as part of this year's Auburn Cord Duesenberg Festival, where other advertised celebrity cars were also being auctioned.
The park had record-breaking attendance for its auctions Thursday and typical numbers Saturday and Sunday, but also had a slow day Friday, auctioneer Daniel Kruse, brother of Kruse International founder Dean Kruse, said. Exact attendance numbers were not available Monday afternoon.
